THE CITY Located in a moderately-sized city, they are a part of the Metropolitan Suburban Area. DIRECTOR OF THE ICU STEPDOWNThe ICU Stepdown Director is responsible for all staffing and day-to-day operations of a 24-bed ICU Stepdown Unit (50+ FTEs). As director, you will participate in the establishment of policies, procedures and work processes, integrated clinical, financial, psychosocial and ethics functions into daily work to ensure the delivery of “best practices and standards of departmental performance. Also, you will collaborate with Administration, Quality Management, Nursing, Finance, Ancillary Services, Ethics, ED Leadership, Operations Analysis, Corporate Compliance, Health Information Management, etc. This position reports directly to the Chief Nursing Officer. NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Management or related healthcare field required, Master’s degree preferred. Must be Registered Nurse eligible for Michigan Licensure. CCRN desired. Experience: Minimum of 5 years clinical experience working in ICU or Telemetry. 2 years of current or recent nurse management level experience in Critical Care. SALARY RANGE AND BENEFITS: This position offers a comprehensive benefits package which includes: health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life insurance, salary continuation and long term disability, flexible spending accounts up to $5,000 per calendar year; 7 paid holidays and one floating holiday after one year of service, vacation days accrual is 20 days which begins accruing on day one and can be used after 6 months of service. This position also includes a 403B Pension Plan with contributions beginning from day one and achieving full vestment after 5 years of service. Cash Balance Pension: Employer will pay 100%, with the amount of employer contributions based on years. There is Automatic enrollment on date of hire of service and base pay with full vesting after 5 years of service. The salary range is $85K to $110K, based on experience and education.
