A highly respected New Mexico hospital system seeks a motivated nurse manager for a women's clinic for an eastern New Mexico facility located in a progressive yet quaint town known for its cultural events, outdoor activities and south west appeal.
The successful candidate will be expected to perform the following duties:
· Prepares an annual budget including operational, expenditures, revenue and allocation of personnel resources.
· Monitors and controls the expenditures of departmental resources, analyzes and explains variances and makes adjustments in accordance with departmental activity.
· Participates in development and implementation of PI.
· Directs and manages personnel.
· Serves as role model for interpersonal communication, especially in relationships with staff, patients, and families, medical staff, other departments and administration.
· Shows active interest and active participation in committees pertaining to area of expertise and participates in and/or supports staff in involvement on facility committees, task forces and teams.
· Investigates and documents risk management events. Promotes Safety Practices.
· Develops and collaborates with Nursing staff, physicians, and other clinicians to promote improvements in patient care, and adheres to current standards of care in determining patient care policies.
· Assures departmental JCAHO compliance.
· Performs other functions as required.
· Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, current literature and professional affiliations to keep abreast of current trends.
