We are seeking a full time Nurse Practitioner for our new Health Center located in Houston, TX!
The Nurse Practitioner will triage, assess, and treat occupational injuries/illnesses along with acute episodic problems; work closely with client regarding return to work case; supervise the LPN; coordinate and initiate wellness programs; and complete all aspects of medical surveillance exams.
Responsibilities:
Provide general medical care and treatment to patients in health center
Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient's clinical problems and health care needs.
Records physical findings, and formulates treatment plan and prognosis.
Provides written home-going instructions.
Prescribes or recommends drugs or other forms of treatment such as physical therapy, inhalation therapy, or related therapeutic procedures.
Refers patients to Physician for consultation or to specialized health resources for treatment.
Educates and coaches nursing staff on best nursing practices.

Requirements:
Master's degree (MSN) required.
At least three years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant in an ambulatory care, occupational health, or emergency department setting.
Licensed as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner in the State of Texas, Nationally Certified as a Family or Adult Nurse Practitioner, Current Certification in Basic Life Support is required, Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services OR Licensed as a Physician Assistant in the State of Texas and Nationally Certified.
Appropriate certification to write prescriptions under the authority of the Site Medical Director, if allowed within state of practice.
Occupational experience helpful not required
Must be able to work closely with collaborating physician and client
Strong computer skills
