Nurse Practitioner

We operate on-site employee health centers, pharmacies and fitness centers for many of the country’s largest corporations and federal agencies.

We have a full-time opening (32hrs/wk) for an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our our new employee health center located in San Antonio, TX who will:

• Evaluate and treat illness and injuries of employees at the health center.
• Provides assessment and treatment of acute illness and injuries, using evidence based practice and policies, procedures and guidelines, with the emphasis on appropriate treatment, return to work, and presenteeism
• Supports the employee’s physician with monitoring of patient’s chronic medical problem, and counsels well employees to promote healthy behaviors and modify risk factors for heart disease, diabetes and other medical conditions
• Responds to emergencies and provides support of emergency response team
• Participates and supports health and wellness initiatives, health education and screening programs

While working at this large employer site, you will have the ability to get to know your patients, while helping to improve their health status and taking care of their immediate health needs. The position is Monday-Thursday from 8am-5pm.

• Master's degree (MSN) required.
• At least two years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in a primary or urgent care, family practice, or emergency department setting.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner, nationally certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner or a Licensed Physician Assistant certified in Family Medicine.
• Current BLS certification is required through AHA or ARC.
• Appropriate certification to write prescriptions under the authority of the Site Medical Director, if allowed within state of practice.
