CHS has openings for adult Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants to work in an onsite corporate health unit clinic in the Boston area. Hours are Monday thru Friday day shift. This person will be involved in a corporate setting providing onsite care to a corporate workforce including, travel medicine exams, minor illness treatment, medical surveillance testing, workers compensation, ergonomic evals, and wellness/preventative programs.
SCOPE:
Under indirect supervision, provides independent primary care in a variety of clinical settings to a specified population of non-emergency and emergency patients.
QUALIFICATIONS:
·Bachelor’s degree in nursing with 2-3 years experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities of primary care required
·Master’s degree required with at least 2 years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in occupational health, public health, employee health, ambulatory or emergency department required.
·CPR Certified
·ACLS Certified
·Candidate must submit to post-offer, pre-employment physical examination/medical history check.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
·Performs medical examinations and evaluations, diagnoses, treatment, follow-up consultation, and health education.
·Obtains patient histories and develops patient care charts, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
·Provides health education to students, employees, and/or community health practitioners and groups, within area of specialty.
·Supervises and/or coordinates the activities of patient care and/or support staff.
·Administers a specific health care activity, as appropriate.
·May participate in planning programs and in developing specific health policies and procedures.
·Practices safety, environmental, and/or infection control methods.
·Maintains basic skills in performing and assessing phlebotomy, administering injectibles and vaccines, and testing (audiometry, EKGs, pulmonary function testing).
