Nurse Supervisor

The Nurse Supervisor provides direction, task assignment, supervision, inspection and monitoring of the clinical admissions staff. 


 


Specific Job Duties Include:




  • Provides direction, task assignment, supervision, inspection and monitoring of clinical admissions staff.


  • Assists in the admission of new patients, including nursing assessment, luggage searches, vital signs, medical history, waived testing, EKG, phlebotomy, etc.


  • Provides medication education related to medication purpose, side effects, and contraindications to patients. 


  • Communicates all significant information with staff, including patient mental status, vital signs, medications, and lab results. 


  • Recognizes crisis situations and provides appropriate interventions based on training and experience. 


  • Monitors and audits patient medical records for accuracy and completion.


  • Other duties, as assigned.

 


Requirements:




  • Graduate from an accredited college or university with a minimum of an Associate's Degree


  • A minimum of 3 years experience in Nursing, preferrably in a behavioral health care setting.


  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Florida.


  • Experience preferred with chemical dependency and/or dual diagnosis substance abuse programs.
