| Description | Responsible for performing a full range of ophthalmic functions such as performing an initial patient screening with a detailed history, and performing such tests as visual acuity (near and distance, infants are children), color vision, manual lensometry, pupil testing, axial length, auto refraction, estimation of Anterior Chamber depth and basic Slit Lamp Examination. Other tests may include applanation tonometry, automated visual fields (perimetry), auto keratometry, corneal topography, and external photograhy. |
| Requirements | ●Current JCAHPO certification as a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant ●At least 1 year of experience in a supervised setting as an Ophthalmic Assistant ●CPR certification |
