Occupational & Environmental Health and Safety (OEHS) Lead, BUWorks
Assume the Lead role for implementing the occupational & environmental health and safety (OEHS) component of the BUworks SAP human capital management (HCM) implementation. The Occupational & Environmental Health and Safety Lead will report to the Senior Lead for Recruitment and in cooperation with the implementation partner OEHS Lead, direct and participate in all stages of the BUworks occupational and environmental health and safety implementation, which includes both business transformation and software installation. The OEHS Lead will: work with the team to develop a coordinated project plan with logical sequencing of tasks and associated milestones for the implementation of the entire occupational & environmental health and safety component; create system and procedural documentation; and assist the BUworks training team with the creation of training programs for the HCM software and new business processes.

Required Skills
Requirements: B.A./B.S. or equivalent required and seven to ten years of experience required with extensive experience in all aspects of occupational & environmental health and safety functions. Specific experience at Boston University in occupational health and/or environmental health and safety is highly desired. General experience in other OEHS and human resources functional areas and strong knowledge of Boston University OEHS and human resources processes and systems, and how they impact and interact with other University processes and systems, is highly preferred. The ability to understand specific human resources and OEHS requirements and negotiate consensus with administrators from diverse functional areas is critical. Knowledge of federal and state laws, regulations, and requirements for OEHS is critical. Familiarity with major Human Resources Information Systems helpful. Familiarity with any best-of-breed occupational health and/or environmental health and safety systems helpful. Exceptional time management, prioritization, and organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. The assignment duration of this position is anticipated through March 31, 2012.
