PURPOSE/SUMMARY (Brief overview of why job exists, general purpose for position)

 

Manage OEM Materials Team’s activities engaged in purchasing, scheduling of forecast, receiving, stocking and shipping of all OEM products.

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (List of 8 – 10 key tasks required of the job which occupy greater than 5% of the incumbents time)  

 

Manages material process for OEM products in accordance with Quality and Oracle system procedures including:

 

·        Manage, develop and ensure delivery of the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the OEM Value Stream.

  • Manage the product flow of OEM products to the Days on Hand plan to avoid backorders and overstock.
  • Manage a functional group of the OEM Materials team.   Provide both informal and formal coaching (mid year and end of year performance reviews) to staff.

·        Provide Oracle systems knowledge and expertise to assure development of the most cost effective and reliable material control.

  • Review forecast and discuss/adjust with product managers & suppliers
  • Identify material process inefficiencies and recommends solutions.
  • Participate on new OEM product launch teams
  • Reconcile inventory discrepancies as it relates to OEM products and suppliers
  • Along with Quality, manage and maintain OEM Supplier files in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Review OEM supplier contracts and agreements to ensure proper material flow verbiage
  • All Other Essential Duties as directed.

  • Manages three (3) OEM Planner/Buyers

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

           

·        Bachelors Degree

·        5+ years Materials Management experience in medical device or related field

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

 

·           Certified Purchasing Management (C.P.M) and/or APICS Certification desired

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS (verbal, written, listening), SOFTWARE SKILLS, ANALYTICAL SKILLS Mathematical skills, Presentation skills, Team player, Ect.

 

  • Strong working knowledge of Oracle materials/purchasing practices
  • Strong analytical skills and reporting of key metrics are essential
  • Strong internal/external communications skills, both verbally and written.
  • Well-developed leadership skills in decision making and problem solving.
