As strategic account manager combines multiple functional attributes such as sales, business development, and marketing. In addition to driving the strategic assigned accounts, the incumbent mentors others in the organization that can leverage their leadership and processes in other accounts. The strategic accounts manager also drives the organization to improve its business processes, goal deployment, sales operations, effectiveness, planning and resource allocation and overall customer satisfaction at their assigned account.
Specific responsibilities will include:
- Responsible for generating global sales of the company's product portfolio for their selected strategic accounts
- Responsible for developing and implementing strategies, programs, and processes for the effective use of the organization's resources
- Evaluates and manages new strategic business opportunities, initiatives, partnerships, alliances and/or joint ventures. Reviews market analysis, initiates deployment strategies, monitors competitive activity, and identifies customer needs at their assigned strategic accounts
- Provides leadership in the planning, designing, and implementing of strategic business objectives at their assigned strategic accounts
- Defines vision, strategies and tactics required for profitable growth at their assigned strategic accounts
- Plans and implements internal business projects, typically utilizing a cross-functional team of subject matter experts. Responsibilities may include initiating project design, planning the project's execution, managing schedules, and driving internal communication
- Taking a leadership role by coaching and modeling behaviors for colleagues throughout the organization
- Mentoring individuals to insure World Class performance throughout the sales and marketing organization
- Fostering executive level relationships between internal management and key customers
- Actively participating on committees/associations to drive industry standards, positioning the organization as the industry leader
- May support additional accounts as needed
NOTE: As a national account role, this position can be based anywhere in the U.S. near a major airport. Travel is estimated at 60 percent or more.
Environmental Combustion and Controls (ECC) is a strategic business unit in Automation and Control Solutions (ACS). ECC provides integrated product solutions in heating and heating processes, ventilation, cooling and refrigeration, air purification, zoning, humidification, air conditioning, water controls and processes, electrical devices and systems, lighting control, switches, sensors and controllers. Our technologies are found in more than 150 million homes, 10 million buildings, and a multitude of manufacturing plants around the world. Customers include original equipment manufacturers, commercial, homeowners, contractors, retail, trade building managers, consulting engineers and distributors.
Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree.
- 10 + Years experience in Multi-Level Sales.
- Ability to travel 60 percent or more.
Additional Qualifications: - 10 + years HVAC applications
- 5+ years Embedded Controls experience
- Experience with 1-2 large ($30MM+), complex, multi site national customers
- Relevant experience in prospecting new business development at key national accounts
- Annual sales in excess of $25MM through a combination of maintaining base business and new business
- Ability to lead multi discipline sales team through a defined selling process; multi-level, high value, complex accounts
- Experience in consultative sales, with the ability to develop technical value propositions
- Ability to develop relationships from C-Suite to factory floor, tenacious, identify
- Experience in developing profitable sales opportunities, product knowledge (width not depth), identify develop and secure opportunities to deliver annual revenue plan, and negotiate annual pricing contracts
