JOB DESCRIPTION:  This is a working supervisory position requiring 40 hours/week.  The On Call Dispatch Supervisor is responsible for hiring, training, and maintaining a team of approximately (7) part time and (1) full time at-home dispatchers (on call employees).  The person fulfilling this position will also be responsible for shift work as part of the On Call team.

The On Call Dispatch Team covers all of the hours the corporate office is closed:  5:30 pm EST to 8:00 am EST Monday through Friday, Friday 5:30 pm EST through Monday 8:00 am EST, in addition to Holidays and severe weather closing days.

The On Call employees that this candidate will supervise are responsible for receiving, entering and dispatching out emergency and same day service calls.  This includes updating customers via email, phones, and/or web sites in a timely and professional manner.  Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to following up on emergency calls that were dispatched during the day.

The right candidate for this job will have a minimum of 2 years supervisory or Management experience, and will have 5 or more years' direct customer service experience.  This On Call Dispatch Supervisor will report directly to the Service Operations Manager, but work closely with the daytime Dispatch Supervisor as well as the service managers and vendor management department.

The ideal candidate will live within the Suffolk/Nassau County boundaries and should possess the following skills:
