ORACLE DATA WAREHOUSE ARCHITECT

Work as part of a team to design, build, implement and enhance various components of Corporate Data Warehouse, Data Mart, ODS and Business Intelligence projects. Provide leadership in technical direction for data warehousing, data mining, and business intelligence, including logical modeling and design of physical databases, defining best practices, policies and procedures. Perform and/or lead efforts to tune ETL processes, database and application performance. Provide technical leadership in logical and physical database design for new or enhanced database structures. Coordinate evaluation and testing of new database and data warehouse technologies and practices. Create and/or participate in proper database support functions, such as documentation, training, and problem resolution.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 

o    5 years experience full production Oracle DBA

o    5 years of experience with Data Warehouse using Oracle, including physical modeling and day-to-day support of a large database.

o    Must have VLDB experience, minimum 10 terabytes

o    Strong understanding of Data Warehouse concepts including various types of physical and logical data-modeling.

o    Experience in analyzing and fine tuning SQL, PL/SQL queries in an Oracle environment.

o    Excellent understanding of Oracle database and features, especially those related to DW/BI.

o    Experience in understanding business processes and objectives, and translating these into practical data structures.

o    Experience in requirements gathering and technical specification definitions.

o    Experience with ETL and Informatica is a plus.

o    Experience with Oracle OBIEE is a plus.

o    Experience with Oracle’s Analytic Functions is a plus.

o    Strong Communication and Analytical skills.

o   Bachelor’s degree in Computer Technology/Science or related field with courses in database technology
