OUTSIDE SALES REP / ENGINEERING SALES REP
About the Job
Responsibilities:
- Identification of engineering opportunities in the oil and gas industry
- Nurturing and development of engineering services contracts
- Some phone marketing, cold calls, and other marketing measures will be required
- Ability to understand engineering and technical requirements of oil and gas (energy) companies
- Position is required to close sales to customers and maintain ongoing relationship with customers for repeat work
- Requires candidate to meet or preferably exceed goal of $1,000,000 per year of gross sales
Requirements
BS Engineering or equivalent (ME, PE, or Chem E preferred)
- Previous sales/marketing or related experience with oil and gas (energy) production and distribution companies is a major plus
- Must be able to make contacts and/or bring existing contacts from oil and gas inudstry
- Should have excellent oral and written communication skills
- Position requires development of engineering type proposals and ability to speak with customers about engineering design and analysis subjects as well as other oil and gas industry related subjects
