Occupational Health and Safety Specialist

In this position, you'll have the opportunity to:

• Manage the site's injury/illness program to ensure compliance with Corporate policies/procedures and OSHA recordkeeping rules.


• Investigate/report occupational injuries/illnesses and near misses identifying root causes and appropriate countermeasures.


• Evaluate as to work-relatedness, both in relationship to Workers Compensation statue as well OSHA recordkeeping requirements.


• Maintain the OSHA log and provide statistics/trends to assist site departments in achieving recordable incident/lost time rate goals.


• Plan and conduct Ergonomic Job Demand Studies to measure and document physical stresses associated with job tasks.


• Team with Human Resources and Health Services to assist in determining appropriate placement of employees considered ADA disabled and/or employees with permanent and temporary work restrictions into jobs where restrictions can be accommodated.


• Conduct Industrial Hygiene monitoring activities to include noise, ventilation, and exposure monitoring.

Are you interested? The ideal candidate will possess:

• Bachelor's degree required in Occupational Health and Safety or related field.


• 3+ years of broad-based safety experience required.


• Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing a plus.


• Local candidates preferred.
