for a qualified Occupational Nurse.

This position is responsible for administering primary medical care
to UNIPRES employees; manages workers compensation claims to
minimize cost and maximize prompt return to work; tracks work restrictions
and ensures compliance; manages wellness program.

Responsibilities include:
• Actively promote safety within the company
and assist in meeting its zero accident policy.
• Serves as a liaison between management, safety engineer and
injured workers as well as insurance carrier and medical providers.
• Administers the company drug screening program.
• Administers medical care in compliance with all
“best practice” methods known to the medical profession.
• Workers Compensation first report of injury, medical evaluation and compliance.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA standards.
• Operation of medical department functions in an
efficient manner which will have the least negative impact on
plant productivity while providing appropriate medical care.

Successful candidate will have the following:
• L.P.N. or R.N. designation
• Minimum of 5 years practical medical experience,
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Minimum of 2 years in workers compensation in manufacturing environment
• Ability to lift 50 pounds without mechanical aid.
• Ability to walk, bend, twist, stoop, and climb as necessary
• Must Work well with others.
