Job Summary
This position offers the opportunity of being either in a full-time or part-time capacity. This position is responsible for the direction and coordination of the overall office operations. He or she will supervise office activities to achieve maximum expense control and productivity. This role develops procedures and policies for office activities, such as filing, dictating, records maintenance, typing, word processing, faxing, and mail distribution. He or she will also be responsible for the maintenance of office equipment and supplies. Additionally, this position will provide confidential, administrative assistance to the DVP Regional Walmart North America.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Acts as initial point-of-contact by answering the telephone in a pleasant, professional, and appropriate business etiquette manner, directing calls to appropriate department/employee.
- Welcomes visitors, determines nature of business, and announces visitors to appropriate person.
- Assists visitors upon arrival and departure and directs them to proper location.
- Maintains inventory of office supplies and places orders as necessary
- Help to maintain a clean and organized office space
- Assist Team Leaders with travel related activities
- Research & Book cost effective travel
- Help with rescheduling as needed
- Assist with expense tracking and reporting
- Work directly with Property Managers
- Ensure facility is maintained correctly
- Call out to maintenance for facility work orders
- Manage changes in Floor plan or office organization
- Support Sales Process as needed
- Presentation preparation
- File organization
- Sample creation
- Assist in Sales meeting prep
- Event Planning
- Organize in/out of office meals, meetings and activities
Required Skills
- Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills including: (Word, Excel & Powerpoint)
- Excellent Verbal Communication and Presentation Skills
- Technical Aptitude
- Excellent communication, organization and customer service skills required.
- Must have a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Required Experience
Education and Experience Profile
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
