About the Job

Devon Value Advisers is currently seeking candidates for an Office Coordinator position in its New York Office.

Devon is a boutique advisory firm specializing in M&A/strategic advice including shareholder value analysis, transaction valuation, and transaction advisory services, including restructurings, recapitalizations, acquisitions and divestitures.

POSITION BACKGROUND:

 

Devon is actively looking for an individual with professional services experience to join our team.   You will be responsible for administrative and basic accounting functions of the company under the direction of the company principals in a stand-alone role.   Ideally you will have an interest in learning basic financial analysis.  You are an active participant in the success of the firm.  The company offers a competitive base salary with bonus potential and excellent benefits.

  

POSITION DUTIES:

 

  • Prepare client presentations using Power Point
  • Assist with ad hoc projects, travel arrangements, and some research
  • Perform AP and AR functions and reconciliations
  • Client invoicing
  • Vendor negotiation
  • Payroll preparation and maintenance
  • Benefits administration in conjunction with HR vendor 
  • Maintain office equipment / supply ordering / facilities management

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

 

Position Skills & Requirements: 

  • 5+ years professional services industry experience in a demanding environment
  • 1+ years of Accounting experience
  • Knowledge of Quick books
  • Required proficiency with MS Office (Powerpoint/Excel/Word)
  • College degree a plus
