About the Job

Area Maintenance Manager - Louisiana $95-125K

 

·         Communicates with subordinate managers, superintendents, supervisors and maintenance contractor representative for prioritizing significant maintenance activities and gives required direction and/or support.

·         Develops, implements and administers policies related to complex maintenance and reliability. Plans and directs the following activities:  Complex maintenance to include mechanical equipment.

·         Reviews, as needed, the standard operation Procedures, Preventive/Predictive Maintenance Plans and the subsequent revisions, submitted by subordinate managers, superintendents, and supervisors. Monitors plant maintenance activities by reviewing Daily Operations Morning Reports and Daily Direct Report Contact with Maintenance Manager and/or Maintenance Superintendents, at each site.

·         Reviews, as needed, SAP purchasing requisitions for spare parts, tools/materials for maintenance projects and services, office supplies and furniture/equipment, etc., originated from the Maintenance Department.  Reviews quotations from vendor, if requested, by Vice President, Manufacturing.  Reviews and directs actions to improve/reduce maintenance expense costs, weekly.

·         Supervises preparation of yearly expense budget for Area Maintenance Department.  Reviews and controls budget monthly by using Management Report (KPI’s).  Discusses with subordinates, and Accounting Supervisor to locate any deviations and works out required actions.

·         Supervises preparation of yearly capital budget, as needed, for Area Maintenance Department and submits to Vice President, Manufacturing.  Reviews detail AFE’s submitted by subordinates and forwards to Vice President, Manufacturing for approval.  Monitors the implementation of Maintenance AFE projects after approval.

·         Reviews, as needed, questionable payments to contractors, vendors, or warehousing, concerning freight charges or maintenance services.

·         Attends plant Steering Committee Meetings, Staff Meetings and, and Central Safety Committee Meetings.  Attends Weekly Maint. Review Meetings and chairs Quarterly Maintenance Strategic Review Meetings.  Attends special project meetings assigned by Vice President, Manufacturing as required.  Attends local Users' Council Meeting.

·         Supports, by example, the maintenance’s portion of the HS&E and Quality programs/systems.

·         Proactively develops and reviews the organization for all complex Maintenance and interviews candidates to fill the proper position as situation arises.

·         Reviews daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly Area Maintenance reports submitted by subordinate.

·         Contacts, with Purchasing involvement, outside contractors/vendors seeking new materials, tools, equipment or techniques to improve the performance of area maintenance equipment.

·         Coordinates, with training department, to plan programs for the technical/skills/human resource development of the employees of the Area Maintenance/Reliability Department.

·         Develop and review goals/targets performance, quarterly, and provide an appraisal for each salaried of maintenance employee, yearly.

·         Performs special projects, as assigned, by the Vice President, Manufacturing, to ensure cost effective complex maintenance services.

·         Perform duties in a manner that protects personal safety as well as the safety of all personnel on site.  Whenever appropriate, promptly report Safety, Health or Environmental incidents or issues to management so the situation can be corrected.  Attend Monthly Safety Meetings to help prevent off site and job accidents.

 

 

Oil Refinery Project Engineer, Louisiana - $85-105K

 

Bachelor of Science in Engineering required. Minimum two years engineering and project management experience in a refinery or petrochemical operating environment required.  Must have the ability to work in a team environment, use a computer with extensive knowledge of SAP, Office XP and MS Project. Icarus experience preferred.  Ability to prepare small mechanical and civil designs, such as pressure vessel calculations, simple structural design and analysis and foundation design preferred. 

 

Will develop, design, and perform cost estimation and prepare Authorization for Expenditure (AFE) for capital and expense projects per process design.  Prepare specifications, procure materials and equipment, and perform cost tracking and status reports for assigned projects.  Supervise contract personnel for engineering, design, and installation of capital, expense and maintenance projects.  Provide technical support to all refinery departments and ensure a safe, efficient, and timely execution of projects.  Follow all safety rules and guidelines established by the  Refinery and participate in safety meetings, safety programs, field safety audits, and VPP inspections.

 

Must have the ability to speak, walk, see, climb structures of 100' or more, stoop, kneel, reach, balance, crawl, work in confined areas, lift 20 or greater pounds, work in extreme temperatures, around moving equipment, subject to loud noise, dust, dirt, chemicals and odors.  Must have the ability to wear fire retardant clothing and protective gear required. Must have the ability to take 24 hour call, travel by common carrier, work extended hours, and make presentations to groups.   Must be able to pass the pre-employment requirements including but not limited to a background check, drug test and application for TWIC.

Directs and participates in the development of engineering and financial studies that establish feasibilities for contract services and evaluation for alternatives that may be technical, financial and/or procedural/administrative. Coordinate and/or participates in the development of a professional level of analysis of company risk or exposure. Mechanical Engineer

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: A Mechanical engineer role that will be working on design & installation of Gas treatment plants (LP DGA), Natural Gas Liquid (NGL) plant and Gas compression areas. The work will involve the following: Review design specifications produced by the design contractor for rotating equipments. Review new design parameters (spec sheets) for modifications required to accommodate Manifa Gas and condensate streams. Participate in engineering design reviews for all mechanical scope of the project. Insure that Saudi Aramco standards and specifications are adhered to prior to issuance of design packages. Plan mechanical work pre-commissioning sequence and durations. Insure that mechanical equipment procured for the gas processing expansion meets project requirements. Coordinate with appropriate Saudi Aramco organizations, i.e. Facilities Planning, Consulting Services and Inspection departments. 

 

Mechanical Engineer

Manage General Engineering Services (GES) design contractor activities of developing project proposal that include defining project work scope and schedule requirement, and development of detailed estimate leading to the ER appropriation and approval. Develop and prepare the contracting plan and strategy for solicitation, evaluation and award contractor for detail engineering, procurement and construction. Manage contractor for preparation of detailed design drawings, material specifications and procurement, and/or construction bid package. Coordinate activities and resolve issues among proponent, contractors and other parties to allow construction activities progress leading final mechanical completion. Responsible to secure Mechanical Completion Certificate (MCC) and Performance Acceptance Certificate for the project. 

 

Mechanical Engineer - Offshore

 

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Emphasis on coordinating all Project Management activities related to engineering, procurement and installation of offshore facilities including platforms, submarine cables, pipeline and other structural facilities. Familiar with Industry Codes and Standards for Offshore Engineering and Design Practices. Interfaces with the Proponent Representatives, Saudi Aramco support organizations, and Contractors as required including attending FAT at vendor locations. Performs a variety of assignments such as initiating reports, correspondence related to assigned project, assembling data and conducting studies related to project development. 


SELECTION CRITERIA: Mechanical Project Engineer with understanding of project management requirements including development of material and equipment specifications, engineering and construction of new oil  production facilities required to execute the work along with the associated processes. Exposure to offshore engineering concepts and strategies. Demonstrated skill in interpersonal relationship with project team and other stakeholders through direct interface. 

 

COMMENTS: Northern Area Projects Department is involved with various construction projects such as Refineries, Gas Projects, Terminals, Offshore and Marine facilities. The Department is located in West Admin. Building in Ras Tanura, Saudi Arabia. 

 

EDUCATION: B.S. in Engineering. EXPERIENCE: Nine (9) years, preferably in the oil  industry or similar process industry, such that the incumbent is clearly recognized as an expert in incumbent's field. LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS: No second language is required. OTHER: Must have a thorough knowledge of engineering practices and economic principles, calculation methods, design details, U.S. and Aramco's Codes, Standards and Specifications. 

 

Meanical Project Engineer

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Education: BS Mechanical Engineering. Experience: Ten (10) years of professional experience, preferably in the oil  or similar process industry. Must have a thorough knowledge of engineering practices and economic principles, calculation methods, design details, US and Aramco Codes, Standards and Specifications. 

 

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Plan, schedule and provide work direction as required for preparation designs, processes, reports, correspondence and related data and assurance the efficiency, adequacy and conformance to overall objectives of all phases of very complex engineering problems. Formulate the design basis by collecting, analyzing information and data relative to operating requirements, process, economic considerations and such other pertinent factors as may be involved as a preliminary step in support of proposals for new construction modifications or maintenance to equipment. Experience with Rotating Equipment (Compressors & Pumps). Design or study mechanical modifications to gas processing, gas handling and utility facilities. Occasionally called upon to design mechanical aspects or new facilities of the type mentioned. Participate in construction activities, pre-commissioning, commissioning and function test activities for the new projects. Follow and inspect the construction progress of assigned projects assuring conformance with design specifications, codes and standards; recommend or confirm design changes, material and equipment substitutes. Review design packages and capital projects. Interface with the Project Management Teams (PMT) Consulting Services & Inspection Departments, capital project contractors, equipment manufactures and Saudi Aramco proponents. Perform a variety of related work such as initiating reports, correspondence and faxes relative to assigned projects, assembling performance data and conducting studies relative to the development, procurement or adaptation of equipment; interpreting the meaning and application of codes and standards, reviewing operating procedures and safety instructions; acting as technical consultant on operating problems.

Experience: Eight (08) years experience in drilling engineering. Extensive knowledge of deep high pressure gas wells and the design of vertical, horizontal and multilateral oil and gas wells. Responsibilities include sizing specifying communication system such as data, telephone, wireless, transmission and facilities. Be involved with CAD MicroStation and Network Engineer (for copper and fiber cable systems) development, installation details, schematics, one-lines, network diagrams, input/output schedules and other drawings. In addition be involved with. Developing communication network strategies, wiring proposal, functional and detailed design specifications. Prepare conceptual design packages and engineering budgetary cost estimates. Responsibilities include providing technical services to Maintenance and Operations Divisions with regard to communication systems, assess plant facilities & process arrangements, and recommending new installations or modifications to improve plant control performance or replacement of defective or communication systems. Serve in technical lead role on communication systems implementations. Review design drawing and engineering specifications to produce review comments and perform quality assurance assessments. Communicate with equipment vendors and technical consultants to resolve complex issues concerning new technology, upgrade of equipment, revision to standards and purchase specifications, test procedure and new projects designs. Provide mentoring and transfer knowledge, skills and experience to entry level engineers and designers.

Language Requirements: A Knowledge of the Arabic language desirable but not required. Other: A well rounded knowledge of project management, cost control and cost estimating.
