The On-site Operations Manager will manage all aspects of Pre-media services and a highly motivated team of Pre-media professionals. This position will work closely with the Client, their local teammates as well as regional Vertis Communications locations and resources to consistently deliver exceptional customer service and ensure the on-time delivery of superior digital assets. The On-site Manager will be responsible for leading our Purchase, NY team. His/Her responsibilities will include managing and developing staff, production of defect-free products, leading process improvement efforts, managing costs and maintaining excellent communication with staff, the Client, vendors, and Vertis Communications' senior management. Responsibilities of this position include handling numerous projects at one time, the ability to organize/prioritize them accordingly and heavy day-to-day communication with customer. You will gather all technical specifications/data from Customers, Designers, and communicate information to various departments via data entry system and utilizing staff members in place. You will also have responsibility for estimating and billing of projects and establishing schedules based on clients expectations. Manage staff. Purchase supplies for facility.
Required Skills
Minimum 5 years experience in the prepress & printing industry, preferably in Packaging. Management experience preferred. Knowledge and understanding of the flexo printing processes. Working knowledge of Microsoft office, file maker, Esco graphics and Adobe Illustrator. Excellent communication skills, written and verbal. Good organizational, time management, typing and mathematical skills. Must be self-motivated and have a strong sense of urgency.
