About the Opportunity:

We are looking for someone with great customer service and communication skills, knowledge of the Melbourne, FL area, an excellent driving record and strong computer/data entry skills to join our team as an On-Site Test Equipment Coordinator supporting our customer.  In this position you will perform any range of receiving, shipping and data entry duties related to the intake and tracking of items for calibration.  You will also be trained to perform routine mechanical calibrations. 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for pick up and delivery of equipment at customer sites.
  • Issue and track customer units for services performed by outside vendors, and arrange  for billing.
  • Review customer purchase order for services required.
  • Identify additional work performed beyond the scope of original quote.
  • Obtain quote from vendor for outside services, add margin as prescribed and quote to customer with cost and delivery options and obtain approvals or issue equipment to sole source outside vendor without additional customer approval, based on customer purchase order and in keeping with standard practice.
  • Arrange for movement of customer’s equipment to outside vendor for calibration or repair and for return to customer.
  • Generate purchase orders for parts for repairs of customer units, outside services from approved vendors and laboratory operating supplies.
  • Enter data to complete services, labor and parts elements of invoicing spreadsheets.
  • Research equipment specifications or other details related to billing as required to provide complete information for invoices and ensure that until being calibrated matches file data.
  • Respond to customer inquires regarding job status, review with management or technician and relay to customer as required.
  • Perform or assist with any operations, as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules and quality requirements.
  • Perform routine mechanical calibrations as time allows.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned. 


Job Requirements:

Qualified candidates will meet the following requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or have Permanent Residency Status.
  • Minimum of 1 year of  related experience required; exp with test equipment is preferred.
  • Able to lift a minimum of 50lbs.
  • Valid Florida State Driver’s License.
  • Clean Driving Record (no moving violations within the last 3 years).
  • Excellent computer skills, including strong data entry skills (Windows, Adobe, MS Excel and MS Word).
  • Demonstrates excellent customer service and communication skills with employees and customers at all levels.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to present information in a clear, concise manner.
  • Ability to effectively handle escalations and time critical issues. Meets goals despite unexpected setbacks, obstacles, or time constraints.
  • Must be a highly organized, proactive and a very strong multi-tasker.
  • Must have a high attention to detail.
  • Must be technically or mechanically inclined.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
