OnSpex is a leading provider of consumer product testing services for products sold in the U.S. and Canada.  We are currently seeking a Project Engineer to work in our consumer product evaluation group located in Alpharetta, Georgia.

JOB SUMMARY:

This position reports to the OnSpeX's Atlanta Office Technical Team Leader.  The Project Engineer will set up and conduct electrical/electronic test programs and accurately obtain and record data.  Other duties include, configuration of experimental apparatus and performing R&D assignments that are not standardized or prescribed.  Also, may make minor modifications to test set-ups, troubleshoot and correct equipment malfunctions as necessary and provide oral and written status reports.  The Project Engineer will provide ongoing feedback to the Technical Team Leader regarding suggested modifications to experimental apparatus and/or equipment being developed.  Generally works with minimal supervision.

Primary Responsibilities:  

• Performs electrical/electronic test and evaluation of products to specified test procedures
• Records and compiles data, tabulates or computes data using appropriate formulas or procedures.  Performs analysis of data to verify accuracy and reasonableness. 
• Produces formal test reports for submission to customers.
• Maintains accurate, orderly and complete records.
• Maintains tools, instruments and other laboratory equipment in good working condition.  Notify Manager when equipment needs repair.
• Writes and prepares test protocols.
• Performs within established guidelines and procedures
• Makes fields trips and assists in work outside the laboratories as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor
