Responsibilities
The Online Marketing Manager reports directly to the Senior Associate Dean for NU Online and acts as the departments expert in marketing of online for the University. As the NU Online marketing manager, this individual will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies and plans to effectively market the online programs offered though NU Online. In addition, the online marketing manager will oversee search engine marketing efforts, including pay-per-click advertising, lead generation, and search engine optimization for NU Online and its website. Under the direction of the Senior Associate Dean, he/she also will manage the evolution of NU Onlines website and related microsites. The candidate also will develop metrics for determining success of NU Onlines online marketing efforts and will report on these efforts regularly. The position also will require ongoing research to continually find and make recommendations on new online marketing approaches.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree with 3 to 5 years experience with 2 to 3 years in online and search engine marketing. Experience marketing online degree programs preferred. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with outstanding project and vendor management skills. Strong editing, proofreading, organizational, and interpersonal skills required.
The candidate should be a strategic thinker with a proven track record for executing with success. The ideal candidate is a strong problem solver, blending creative and analytical skills. Should possess the ability to make timely decisions, anticipate problems and provide creative solutions. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment is critical.
Must possess knowledge of Google Adwords methodology and have experience with web analytics tools (Google Analytics, WebTrends, or equivalent) and content management systems. Familiarity with multimedia graphics and web production tools (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Flash) is a plus. Knowledge of web design process desirable.
