On behalf of Prudential Global Services (PGDS), the Operations Analyst is responsible for performing production change control and support activities including documentation and operational procedures. The incumbent shall monitor and improve production procedures and schedules. The Analyst will also prepare activity and progress reports regarding production control activities and assigned projects.
Job Requirements (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
Manage multi-platform change control processes and will review changes for standards compliance.
Prepare and maintain all processing schedules for the data center;
Will monitor throughput, re-runs and completion of work as scheduled;
Assist in the determination of the cause for program failures;
Review current standards and recommend changes or updates as needed;
Assist in disaster recovery procedures and processes;
Assist in project development to implement new software;
Develop and document special projects;
Provide 7-day, 24-hour on-call support for the data center on a rotational basis;
Perform any other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Required
2-year degree or equivalent work experience.
Technical Qualifiers:
OS JCL 3-5 years
Automated scheduling system 3-5 years
Problem/incident manaement in Mainframe and Unix platforms 3-5 years
Online viewing package 2-3 years
Change Control system 2-3 years
Hardware Qualifiers:
IBM Mainframe Experience 3-5 years
UNIX Experience 3-5 years
