General Description: · Meet operational standards by contributing distribution information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality and customer-service standards; resolving problems and obstacles; indentifying distribution system improvements. · Will function in a leadership and supervisory capacity, directing all Lean Logistics Center (LLC) operations in a manner that exceeds internal and external customer expectations. · Creation and sustainment of standard work, visual management and quality at the source error proofing (poke yoke). · Build a leadership environment based on “go see” management. · Creating a “playbook” for continued growth of lean principles. · Lead staff by knowledge in distribution, inventory management, project management, JIT material flow, and sequencing. · Accomplishes staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring and appraising; coaching, counseling and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating and enforcing systems, policies and ISO procedures. · Duties will include management of all warehouse operations to include receiving, slotting, put away, order preparation, shipping, return goods. · Management of the physical plant (facilities). · Support of the Quality Management System including continuous improvement, safety and customer satisfaction. · Other duties will also be performed as assigned.

Work experience requirements: · Management of warehouse systems, layout, design and logistics. · Familiarity with ISO 9000 quality system requirements · Above average knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, and industry related computer programs.

Education Requirements · University degree and/or college diploma required. · Seven plus years related experience and training or equivalent combination of education and experience. · Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshop; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies. |
