Education and Experience requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mining, or related field.
Knowledge of mineral processing, equipment, and
methods.
Seven (7) years progressive experience in a supervisory
role. Highly Prefer experience in
mining and/or continuous processing operations.
Develops long
and short term goals. Sustains direction toward achieving goals through
communication
of development
of ideas/operational strategies.
Works with engineering department for development and implementation
of capital projects, and process improvements
Works closely with finance department on setting financial
goals, developing processes and procedures for procurement and inventory
management, and understanding/controlling costs of the operation.
Works with mine and geology group to develop and execute
mining in accordance with mine plans ensuring cost quality control
Develops and maintains processes for scheduling and
prioritizing activities in production and maintenance
Ensures
compliance with all EH&S regulations both internal and external
Communicates regularly with employees, and maintains a
motivated work force
Ensures quality
production, throughputs, recoveries, and maintenance reliability meets the
goals of the company customers.
Prepares
feedback to corporate office on monthly results with regular feedback during
the month of any known variances.
Prepares annual budgets and periodic forecasts that flex the
costs in accordance with sales volumes
Organizes the operations personnel to allow to for the most
effective use of resources while continually developing skills through training
and feedback.
Responsible for generating and executing continuous
improvement initiatives for the operation in all areas of EH&S quality,
productivity, and cost reduction.
