Job Purpose:
Learns and maintains operations by establishing inventory levels; receiving and verifying inventory; project management; supervising staff within the petrochemical industry with a fast growing regional logistics company.
Duties:
* Accomplishes inventory control human resource objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; recommending compensation actions; adhering to policies and procedures.
* Meets inventory control operational standards by contributing inventory control information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying inventory control system improvements.
* Establishes inventory levels by studying supply usage patterns and forecasts; setting reorder points.
* Interfacing with customers on upcoming projects to develop effective inventory models and value propositions.
* Maintains inventory by ordering and receiving requirements; inputting receipts and adjustments.
* Allocates supply expense by billing cost centers.
* Organizes inventory by planning item locations.
* Maintains safe work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
* Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
* Accomplishes inventory control and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
