The Position:
Leadership
- Builds strong operations leadership team.
- Provides mentoring as a cornerstone to managerial career development.
- Holds direct reports accountable for providing performance coaching and career development opportunities to direct reports in their respective areas.
- Foster a success-oriented, accountable environment within the company
Operational
- Responsible for the measurement of all processes, internal and external, that relate to operational effectiveness.
- Ensures Call Center, including Technical Support, provide excellent customer service and effectively represent the Employers Brand.
- Works with IT to implement and effectively manage remote call center operations.
- Collect, analyze data to evaluate operational effectiveness, and make recommendations to solve problems.
- Identifies inefficiencies and analyzes and reports solutions to correct them.
- Escalates and directs activities during systems problems, participates in post-mortem analysis of problems, providing inputs for future process improvements.
- Reviews ongoing performance results to targets, takes corrective measures.
- Participate as a member of the management team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel designated to accommodate the growth objectives of the organization.
- Formulate and recommend operational policies and programs that guide the organization in maintaining and improving its competitive position and the profitability of the operation
- Negotiates purchase and service agreements with vendors of capital equipment
Strategic
- Assist company officers and senior staff members in the development and formulation of long and short-range planning, policies, programs and objectives.
- Builds, develops and manages operations leadership team capable of carrying out needed operations strategies
- Provide day-to-day leadership and management to the organization that mirrors our mission, core values, and market branding.
- Enacts contingency plans.
Facilities
- Initiate and coordinate major projects, (e.g. plant layout changes, installation of capital equipment, major repairs, etc.).
- Responsible for ensuring structural integrity of facility and surrounding grounds.
- Responds to various developing conditions as well as crisis situations.
Financial
- Oversees operations budget to ensure compliance with organizational expenditure requirements.
Regulatory
- Responsible for ensuring that all operational activities in the areas of shipping are in compliance with federal, state, local, and governmental agencies requirements.
- Complies with all laws related to employment and promotes the company’s Affirmative Action Program.
Basic Qualifications:
- BA/BS in Industrial Engineering or Business Administration and 10+ years experience in a Call Center and/or Fulfillment Center environment (preferably both)
- A minimum of 5 years experience managing a significant segment of a large operation or the entire operation of a smaller organization.
- Technical skills in Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, TOC, Process Improvement, freight and distribution, materials management and production scheduling.
- Certification in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Visual Inventory, or CRM.
- Strong analytical skills and statistical background.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and a proven ability to mentor others.
- Proven ability to plan for both long and short term.
- The ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
- Problem analysis and resolution at both a strategic and functional level
