Sr. Operations Manager - Garage Doors
This
position will be located in the office at our headquarters in
residential garage door company.
Construction/ project management, general office management and inside
sales are equally important components of this multi-faceted position which
will oversee customer service, inside sales, scheduling, bookkeeping and all
other administrative functions. Manage scheduling and real-time operations to
facilitate the maximization of resources to achieve customer satisfaction,
productivity, schedule adherence, and economic goals.
We seek a senior operations manager that is highly motivated with
a background in construction or a related industry with applicable
experience. This person is a manager
first and has a larger breadth of experience in office and project management
with experience in creating and implementing effective systems and
standards. This person is highly
motivated, self-structured, proactive, organized and is easily able to
prioritize tasks in real-time.

Creates and manages a
cohesive and seamless operation for the sales and service of residential garage
doors.

Oversees sales, service
and operations for garage door installers, service technicians, and back-office
support functions
-
Plans, organizes,
develops and directs the overall operation of the company

Provides leadership in quality,
cost reduction, on-time delivery, safety, customer satisfaction, and performance
measures
-
Manages material
requirements to increase inventory turns and reduce levels on hand
-
Approves and guides
scheduling and planning of installation and service
-
Balances workload against
capacity
-
Ensures compliance with
state and federal regulations
-
Oversees and approves all
accounting and bookkeeping functions
-
Directs and manages the
customer service functions of the company
-
Acts as the final level
of customer service for escalated issues
-
Manages administrative
personnel and ensures procedures and protocols are followed
-
Responsible for hiring
and evaluating staff and labor positions
-
Provides leadership for
employee relations through effective communications, coaching, training, and
development
-
Interprets specifications
and company policies to subordinates and/or contractors
-
Enforces safety
regulations
-
Analyzes and resolves
work problems including employee issues

Requirements &
qualifications:

High School Diploma or
equivalent
-
5+ Years of construction
or trades experience
-
2+ Years of construction,
or project management, or operations management
-
Must be able to provide professional references
-
Excellent leadership and communications skills
-
Proficiency in management and personnel direction
-
A personable and sales friendly demeanor
-
Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office
-
World-class customer
service
Preferred, but not
required:
Associates Degree or
Construction Management Certification
Garage door industry experience
