We are currently seeking a strong Operations Manager to direct and manage our store location warehouse operations.  This person should have great analytical and inventory control skills and be able to manage and lead a team to meet our customer and business needs.

While this position is currently open at our Fairview Heights location, openings and opportunities for advancement do occur throughout the company and all management candidates must be open to traveling and possibly working at any of our 6 area locations (Mid Rivers, Fairview Heights, South County, Afton, Bridgeton, and Distribution Center in Berkeley).

The purpose of our Operations Manager position is to accurately control the store’s inventory assets; optimize the availability of store inventory for sale to customers; move products safely, quickly and accurately to reduce operational costs to realize the company mission: Save our Customers Money; Maintain the security and operations of the company’s facility and its assets.


 


Qualified candidates should possess the following:


Ø       Previous supervisory or management experience (minimum 3 years; 5+ desirable)


Ø       Previous warehouse management experience (minimum 3 years)


Ø       Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


Ø       Excellent customer service skills and computer skills, including Word, Excel and Outlook


Ø       Expertise standard operational procedures; knowledge of industry-specific ops operations


Ø  Understanding of HR policies and procedures and proven ability to applythem


Ø  Proven ability to lead team to achieve results


Ø Knowledge of inventory control systems and procedure


 


Responsibilities will include the following:


 Certified in Operation of Picker, certified in Material Handling, and responsible for training all employees in accordance with OSHA regulations.


 


Oversee the daily operations of the department and gice clear expectation and provide feedback to direct reprts to ensure objectives and policies are followed


 


Hire and maitain full-staffing of a high-performance team capable of meeting and exceeding goals, measure performance, and complete performance reviews


 


Develop management skills of team leader and the performance of team members


 


Mentor and coach delivery manager


 


Provide excellent customer service; respond to customer contact promptly and resolve customer issues to the customer's satisfaction


 


Ensure every merchandise movement is recorded real-time in the computer


 


Prevent loss and ensure the security of the company's assets


 


Eliminate damage to merchandise during movement or storage


 


Maintain facilities for safety and operational throughput.  Provide customers and employees with a clean warehouse and work environment


 


Maintain equipment in good working order; prevent loss of equipment by controlling the equipment inventory


 


Manage the receiving, putaway and cycle count functions for efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness


 


Manage the return to vendor process, resulting in timely credit from vendors


 


Manage staff and workplace to achieve in accident-free warehouse, dock and customer pickup environment
