Suburban is seeking an Operations Manager for our Temple, PA facility.
As an Operations Manager (OM) you will report directly to the Customer Service Center Manager and be responsible for assisting in executing the daily operations of a single or multi- location Customer Service Center (CSC) and its product distribution, storage, sales and service activities.
Primary Accountabilities:
· Work closely with the Customer Service Center Manager to develop and implement marketing plans.
· Ensure effective coordination between Customer Service, Distribution, Technical Service and Sales functions.
· Oversee and manage daily Distribution and/or Service workload, project workforce and material needs to ensure seasonal demand coverage and service.
· Ensure that Company and Government safety, policy and regulatory standards are met at all times and maintain zero preventable accidents.
· Manage the vehicle fleet. Coordinate vehicle preventative maintenance, repairs, scheduling and licensing. Optimize tank utilization.
· Maintain fuel, distribution and service-related inventory quality compliance and control.
· May be responsible for design and/or execution of Service processes and procedures, which may include preparation of work orders, requisition of new parts and instruments, repairs and service work, completion of job folders, production schedules, Service Technician dispatch from home procedures and other related activities.
· Execute Company designed service pricing programs (such as flat rate pricing) and operational procedures to optimize profitability.
· Recruit and retain employees who possess knowledge, experience and behavioral skills that will help the business reach its goals. Monitor employee performance, implement individual development plans and activities, initiate and coordinate training and incentive plans, and evaluate employees against clear performance standards and Company policies.
· Oversee subcontractors and permit requirements.
Education, Certifications, Specialized Training:
· Four-year Business Degree or equivalent in experience & education.
· CDL Class B, hazmat endorsements preferred.
Functional/Technical Knowledge:
· Familiar with fuel industry concepts, practices and procedures including related government regulations, attained through a minimum of 5-7 years of related technical and/or management experience.
· Good understanding of oil and/or gas fired appliances and related distribution systems (training is provided).
· Basic understanding of computer concepts and usage including MS Office.
