This international corporation experienced a 12% revenue increase during 2008as it approached the $2 bil mark. Products are highly sophisticated components for medical, biotech, commercial, and aerospace/defense applications. Revenue and employment at this site have each grown 30+% at this location, leading to reorganization of the site’s structure and leadership. The new role of Operations Manager is expanded to include leadership of site level functions. The corporation is committed to lean and Six Sigma methodologies to maximize customer performance metrics, continuously improve productivity, and reduce process/product variation. The plant employs a highly skilled workforce of engineers, technical specialists, and technicians. A primary goal is to develop a results-focused, data driven, responsive culture. Successful execution of this role can lead to a multi-site leadership capacity or into a General Management career ascension path.
Our client requires an Engineering Bachelors degree and an MBA or significant progress toward MBA attainment. Individuals must have at least 12 years progressive experience in manufacturing, prior production/operations leadership roles, and ifnot site leadership then clearly established as the #2 operations leader at a site. Prior experience must include production, but also show breadth with assignments from at least two of continuous improvement, quality, manufacturing engineering, or supply chain functions. Prior experience is strongly preferred with electronic products/processes and defense industry regulations. Candidates must be able to obtain US Security Clearance. Customer facing duties and effective staff development demand superior communication skills.
