The Operations Manager - MPRII drives innovative efforts to improve the Operations Team's productivity, inventory turnover and customer responsiveness through MRPII projects and processes to achieve a long-term competitive advantage. Educates, advocates and reinforces MRPII concepts and practices ensuring the Operations team and their partners develop a true commitment to effective Enterprise Resource Planning and cost control and efficiency.

The key responsibilities include:

Serves as project team leader on business projects ultimately affecting the production operations environment.

Serves as the main contact for plants relating to MRPII activities.

Serves as Project Manager for some Operations initiatives.

Assists in the development of organizational, procedural and workflow plans, plus, performs methods and/or process analysis.

Plays a primary role in identifying, prioritizing and implementing MRPII improvements.

Evaluates, selects, develops, tests and implements various productivity tools for Operations across a variety of operating platforms.

Audits, analyzes and maps current processes as a result of monitoring the production environment; presents these findings to the leadership and recommends changes to improve processing and utilization of resources.

Responsible for the business aspects of plant MRPII systems implementations.

Develops, maintains, and improves the organization's business systems through process design, system configuration, testing, training, and user support.

Provides timely process and system support to end users. May require off-hour support as needed.

Sources and/or provides business system training to end users ' e.g. Oliver Wight Training.

Facilitates the escalation and resolution of critical system issues.

Participates on project teams to improve and/or redesign business processes, extend existing system modules to new sites, implement new system modules, and upgrade system software. Eg. SAP

Facilitates system enhancements and configuration.

Collects and communicates relevant performance metrics for core business processes and facilitate continuous improvement in business processes.

Defines and documents business requirements for system enhancements and interfaces. Clearly communicates detailed requirements associates and contractors to ensure accurate implementation of requirements.

A Bachelors Degree preferably in Business, MIS or related field.

One (1) to three (3) years work experience in a relevant business
process area (e.g. Order-to-Cash, MRP, etc.)

10- 15 years comparable experience supporting operations systems for the relevant business area.

Expert in project and process / systems implementation.

Strong PC Skills, proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Office Suite ( Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project).

Experience with packaged application systems, preferably SAP, QAD,
and/or Optiva.

Training experience, specifically with small group on-the-job technology instruction.

Up to 75% of travel to support project requirements.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.
