Our client, a company in Grand Prairie, TX, is currently looking for an experienced Operations Manager with LTL experience. We are looking for someone who is an out of the box thinker, well Organized. Well versed in this type operation. Someone with the ability to Follow through and who is very dedicated to the company they are working for.
To apply candidates must have:
LTL Trucking/Transportation experience (As an Operations Manager)
Experience with owner operators both recruiting and dispatching
Must have good knowledge of equipment (trailers, doubles, etc) to coordinate with repair people
Good management skills (will manage at least 40 drivers)
Sales skills (once the operation is on auto pilot, we need to develop more business in the area to support the operations)
Knowledge of budgets and operating costs
Self managed and good people sills
College degree preferred
Knowledge of DOT safety regulations
Knowledge of walk around inspections
Well organized
Paperwork oriented (does not need clerk to do all his work)
