The Operations Manager for Wet Goods is responsible for the operational performance, quality and safety of the wet goods (liquid) filling production line area. Reporting to the Director of Operations and responsible for 6 direct supervisors and est. 100 full/part-time employees. The Wet Goods Filling Lines run 24/7, producing wide range of bottled consumer goods at minimal cost, specified quality and in accordance to production planning demands.



 

This dynamic, results oriented leader is responsible for efficient and economical utilization of labor, materials and assets, while employing process improvement techniques to improve overall quality and efficiency in the filling process areas. As a part of the site leadership team, act as change agent shifting to a performance driven culture while maintaining integrity and productive work environment.



 

What we offer

-Drive safety and quality culture through improvement initiatives, training, accountability and 5S activities with no injuries


-Maintains accurate inventory management activities to ensure schedule and inventory levels are kept to target


-Effectively manages resources of materials and labor, to continually exceed OEE targets in our cultural revolution to a high performance world class operation


-Manages all expense spending including equipment repairs, molds, tools and supplies


-Contributes to the annual capital plan with technical input, direction and justification as required


-Cultivates a culture of execution and accountability, leading by example


-Align with other senior plant leaders on strategic planning


-Establish and manage all department resources to meet supply chain partner requirements of on time delivery to factory peers


-Develop and implement the department charter for safety, quality, cost, schedule and environment


-Leads employee outputs, provides status and feedback reporting of performance metrics


-Responsible for direct labor planning and production plan execution to achieve maximum efficiency while producing quality products resulting in no rejects or rework


-Develops, maintains and distributes reports for processing control activities. Ex, efficiency, inventory accuracy, schedule attainment and scrap, rejects


-Drives efficiency and yield improvements



 


Who we are looking for 


-Bachelor's Degree (mechanical, engineering or related technical field) preferred


-5+ years proven management experience within manufacturing/production environment, specifically supervisory level direct reports required


-Consumer Product Goods (CPG) products, bottle filling or related industries preferred


-Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing is a plus


-Proven experience in improving total safety and quality rates


-Proven success of driving process improvements while maintaining work environment integrity


-Effective communication and leadership skills


-Demonstrates initiative, critical problem solving and excellent mathematical skills

Qualification:

Who we are looking for


• Full proficiency in MSOffice suite including Power Point, Excel and MS Project; budget development, implementing and reporting; general equipment technical experience (design, operation and maintenance); experience with equipment process controls; troubleshooter and problem solver and can relate to the technical groups on department requirements and issues. • Self-directed, multi-tasks, promotes team work, delegates • Developed management skills • Prefer experience with GMP / FDA • BS / BA in Business, Industrial Engineering or otherwise related 4-year academic major is required. Master’s Degree is a plus. • 15-20 years relevant work experience with a track record of advancement is preferred.
