A leading provider of environmental services including solid waste collection, transfer, disposal and recycling services is currently seeking an experienced Operations Manager. This position will be responsible for directing the daily activities employees and 25 collection routes.  This position will also need to fill-in as needed for open routes, so it’s required that you possess a current Commercial Driver’s License. 

Key responsibilities include staffing, collection route operations, implementation of safety and compliance programs, budgeting and customer service.  This position would also interface with other operating locations at the direction of the District Manager to insure implementation of best practices, procedures and programs for all aspects of the operations. 

Required: 
VERY strong OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT background for a similar company such as:
Uniform or linen service company, beverage delivery service company, UPS, FED-EX

Required experience:
•Minimum of 3 years operations management experience in the transportation industry, managing COMPANY EMPLOYED ROUTE DRIVERS (not contracted or third party drivers)
• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is required 

• Knowledge of OSHA, DOT and environmental regulations
• Background in maximizing financial results. Strong experience with the budget process and P&L statements
• Highly computer literate
• Must be experienced in providing safety and general procedure training

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent leadership, supervision and motivational skills
• Problem solving, analytical
