Operations Support Supervisor

About the Job

The Operations Support Group Supervisor is responsible for insuring the efficiency and effectiveness of the Billing Department to successfully comply with contract specifications. Maintain daily communication and provide general guidance, quality control, and perform annual performance evaluations.

Assumes responsibility for insuring the efficiency and effectiveness of the Department by:

a. Formulating departmental goals, strategies, and operating policies and procedures and directing implementation of approved changes.

b. Making recommendations on employees regarding employment, performance appraisal, salary changes, promotions, transfers, or terminations.

c. Insuring productivity levels are maintained through effective monitoring of staffing levels and financial requirements. \

d. Guiding personnel to achieve optimum performance levels.

  • Assists OSG personnel and Area Managers with OSG / District issues as needed
  • Ensures that all reports and registers are prepared in accordance with contract specifications and sent to the client in a timely manner
  • Provides interface with the "IT" group for trouble shooting and system enhancements
  • Maintains regular contact with customers seeking input on overall OSG performance, adherence to contract, and address clients concerns
  • Provides phone support to resolve customer concerns
  • Approves all billing system adjustments (credit refunds, deposit refunds, deposit transfer balances, delinquent account collection and write-off, corrected bills, other debit or credit adjustments)
  • Interacts with Operation Support Group Manager (OSGM) on SOPs, training, monthly budget analysis, etc.
  • Provides technical guidance and training; schedule safety and other training sessions; monitor and discuss concerns, ensure company polices and procedures are being adhered to
  • Responsible for the daytime and evening dispatch operations

Understands and adheres to all company health and safety procedures as they relate to essential job functions

 

Other duties may be assigned

Two-year college or technical school and 5 years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Must be a team player 
  • Must have prior supervisory experience
  • Working knowledge of payment processing, customer service and utility billing
  • Well developed Customer Service (people) skills, including telephone skills 
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
