This position will be responsible for working with business units to define and implement technology solutions to improve business processes and customer service.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Project Manager for External Client startup and internal initiatives.
- Work with external and internal clients to analyze, define and manage the scope of a specific startup.
- Work with IT department to meet project technology requirements. IT departments include application development, network infrastructure and data integration (EDI).
- Overall Project ownership during the life-cycle of the project. From requirements definition to post go-live support. Includes documenting and communicating process flow, project plan, deliverables and status reports.
- Define and document business requirements.
- Define and present project solutions and costs.
- Manage project implementation, user testing/acceptance and training.
- Overall project Mgmt timelines, tasks, budget, status
Support Internal and External Clients
- Point of contact for client issues or new requirements.
- Manage issue/requirement through resolution o Understanding and documenting new requirements. Communicate to NFI IT departments, coordinate resources and communicate status/resolution.
- Identify on-going improvement opportunities.
Requirements:
Job Related & Physical Requirements:
- Experience with transportation management systems preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills ability to communicate with a client president
- System testing / documentation
Technology:
- MS Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, Access
- Basic understanding of relational databases, application development, Networking, PC hardware and phones
- Travel up to 25% with extended stays
- Physical Labor Requirements
Minimum Experience, Education, and Training Required:
- Degree - BA / BS preferred
- 2-5 years project mgmt experience
