Oracle DBA (Oracle 9i, 10g, 11i).  Any Microsoft SQL Server DBA experience a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Perform all aspects of database administration management including backup and recovery, upgrade testing and implementation, and storage monitoring on Oracle 9i/10g/11i and Microsoft SQL Server 2000/2005/2008 database systems.
• Provide support to the application community with database design and performance tuning.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years Oracle database experience including database upgrades and performance tuning
• 3-5 years Microsoft SQL Server experience in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting SQL Server versions 2000/2005/2008
• Strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices
• Oracle database installation and upgrade experience with versions 10g and 11i
• Microsoft SQL Server 2000/2005/2008 software installation, database creation, and support
• Experience with database backup and recovery, including implementing disaster recovery standards
• Storage monitoring and growth projections for all database systems using local disk and SAN storage
• Database design, optimization, and tuning
• Database security and compliance
• Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a 24 x 7 production environment
• Working knowledge of Oracle Data Guard
• Knowledge of PeopleSoft and/or Oracle Financials a plus
• High school diploma required; Associate degree or technical school certificate preferred
• Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and effective problem-solving skills
