About the Opportunity
Oracle DBA
We are looking for a highly motivated and well-rounded Oracle DBA with a strong development background to add to our team to provide full life cycle support on a new build.
Responsibilitites:
Full life cycle support of client's database(s). Candidate is expected to be familiar with architecture, logical and physical design, automation, documentation, installs, shell scripting, PL/SQL programming, backup & recovery, monitoring, and database and query tuning. Will also be required to work closely with developers to design and build new structures to support future enhancements to the applications and provide guidance on efficient database access methods. Candidate must have good analytical, verbal and written skills.
Qualifications:
Requirements:
Ideal candidate would have a strong Unix/Oracle software background. Candidate would also have a development background posessing a solid understanding of relational database principles. Responsible for new development and production support on database and flat file applications in an Oracle/Unix environment. Required skills: three or more years experience in Unix shell scripting and Oracle development (SQL, PL/SQL). Beneficial, but non-essential skills: Tivoli Workload Scheduler, C, Perl, familiarity with data hygiene and merge/purge concepts.
