Oracle PL/SQL Developer Required

Hi

We have an urgent requirement with one of our direct clients.

Database Engineer

Location: Brisbane, CA

Duration: 3 months Contract to Hire

The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of Oracle development experience; must be proficient in SQL and PL/SQL, must be able to read and understand explain plans, identify performance issues, and suggest and implement performance improvements. The desired candidate must be familiar with Oracle fundamentals and be able to re-design database application when necessary.

- Design, implement and support database applications

- Ensure the ongoing operational stability of database applications 

- Research and resolve data irregularities 

- Interact with DBA Team and data customers

- Optimize Oracle database application for performance.

- Be on call when required

Basic Qualifications

- 4+ years Oracle Development Experience 

- Proficient with SQL & PL/SQL skills

- Proficient with Oracle design skills

- Proficient with understanding of Oracle internal mechanisms

- Good analytic problem solving skills 

- Proficient with TOAD(or like) 

- Proficient with Oracle code optimization

- Able to context switch throughout the day

- Good communication skills

- Able to work as a team member as well as individual task owner 

- College degree in engineering or sciences, strong preference for software engineering or computer science

Education:

Bachelor's Degree Required
