Oracle DBA
The primary responsibility of a Database Administrator is focused on addressing day-to-day build, management, support, and troubleshooting activities of the team. The Database Administrator will provide database administration support, review database design and integration of systems, provide backup recovery, and make recommendations regarding enhancements and/or improvements.
Responsibilities include database loading; development and management of operational procedures; environment management; database health (e.g. monitoring, proactive and reactive responses); resource planning; database upgrade planning; backup and recovery strategy planning and implementation; environment transition planning (development, test, stage, production).
The Database Administrator position will require an understanding of the following Oracle products:
- Oracle Database 10g & 11g
- Oracle RAC
- Oracle Grid Control
- Oracle ASM
- Oracle Streams
- Oracle DataGuard
Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Basic Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline
- 2 years Oracle database 10g administration in a Linux environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 years Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC)
- 2 years Oracle Grid Control
- 2 years Oracle Backup and Recovery (RMAN)
