Job duties: Provide production support for the Database Response team. The primary responsibilities are for Oracle 9.X, 10.X and RAC infrastructure and database support/maintenance for US systems in various locations. The expectation is that the candidate has previous support experience in working in an enterprise with highly available database systems, data recovery and in providing on-call support for 24X7 systems. Additional experience in Sybase 10.X and SQL 2005 databases preferred.

Requirements:

·         7-10 years related experience, including previous lead experience.

·         4-year degree or the equivalent combination of education and work experience.

·         US Citizen

·         In-depth knowledge of functional analysis and database design including a strong background in multiple relational database designs and platforms.

·         Ability to translate business processes and objectives into database design specifications.

·         Demonstrated ability to independently learn new hardware and software systems.

·         Ability to analyze and solve complex database problems employing differing techniques and methods.

·         Excellent communications skills including the ability to translate technical processes so that users can effectively understand and make meaningful decisions and recommendations.

·         Developed project management skills and the ability to negotiate with other staff as needed to complete projects.

·         Demonstrated ability to follow-up on outstanding project requirements to completion.
