Description:

Responsible for supporting the Oracle databases and
ensuring their performance, availability and security.

Details:

·        
Responsible for ensuring availability and performance
of the databases that support the system.

·        
Ensure that the associated hardware resources
allocated to the databases and to ensure high availability and optimum
performance.

·        
To proactively monitor the database systems to ensure
secure services with minimum downtime.

·        
Responsible for: providing trend analysis, problem
escalation to Development team and third parties as appropriate.

·        
Perform improvements and maintenance of the databases
to include rollout and upgrades.

·        
Implementation and release of database changes as
submitted by the development team

 Skills:

·        
Proven Oracle Database Administration experience.

·        
Experience of managing multiple RDBMS.

·        
Experience of working in a team that delivers a high
availability service.

·        
Practical experience in monitoring and tuning a
database to provide a high availability service.

Qualification:
OCA, OCP (preferred) and a Bachelor's degree:

·        
Fully understand ORACLE Architecture and memory
structures.

·        
Installation of Oracle on Windows.

·        
Understanding clustered environments on windows using
OFS

·        
Advanced SQL and PLSQL including storage procedures
understanding .

·        
Backup & recovery Concepts,Oracle Network
Concepts, Storage Concepts.

·        
Data Base Performance Optimization

·        
Unix(RAC) environments
