Modis is currently seeking an Oracle DBA for an exciting contract opportunity with our nationwide client.
The position is expected to start immediately and last for an initial duration of 6 months. There is a very high likelihood of long-term contract extension.
Work locations may include Alpharetta, GA and /or Richardson, TX.

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Oracle DBA will be working in a high availability 24x7 production environment to provide physical Oracle Database Administration. Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years experience with Oracle physical database administration, including SQL Coding, performance turning and troubleshooting. In addition, current practical experience with RMAN, PL/SQL, OEM, RAC, Dataguard and Golden Gate Replication is required.
A good understanding of UNIX environments including the use of Shells Scripts is highly preferred.
Candidates must have expert monitoring and performance tuning experience Oracle database environments.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Required Bachelors Degree in a related IT Field
- Minimum 5-7 years IT Experience
- Expert hands-on experience with Oracle 9i/10g physical database administration
- Expert RMAN, RAC, Dataguard and Golden Gate Replication experience.
- Knowledge of UNIX environments, including shell scrips.
