Oracle Database Administrator( DBA)

One of our client's in Chicago region is looking for Oracle Database Administrator who has extensive experience in a production support environment and with following skills,

Oracle DBA with recent experience in deploying/managing Oracle on AIX. Should have at least 6 yrs of Oracle Backup & Recovery, Performance Tuning, Internals and PL/SQL Programming experience A solid understanding of Storage subsystems and AIX system skills will be a big plus. Good written/oral communication skills and being a team player is a requirement.

The person must be a strong Oracle DBA in a production environment and have worked in a Solaris environment.

Experience with DATA GUARD is a must.

Responsibilities -

- Performance Tuning

- Ensure SQL is performing well

- Work with the Developers to bring the Production Database in the Development Environment. In the course of doing this, help determine what data could possibly be at risk.

- Figure out good Contingency Strategies for Very Large Databases

- Document the Database Model

- Know BackUp, and Compression Techniques

- Be capable of handling Production Releases.
