Advantage Technical Services has 2 immediate positions for Sr. Oracle DBA. These are contract positions running through August 2010.

As a Senior Oracle Apps DBA with Advantage you will be responsible for managing multiple databases in support of various third party applications.  This will include the architecting, installation, and ongoing maintenance of the environments while acting in a senior role.  The Senior DBA will coordinate and mentor other members of the DBA team.

Some essential functions of this position include: 

• Database architectural planning


• Database installation


• Patching, configuring, and cloning using Rapid-clone with Oracle E-Biz 11i environment with an Oracle 11g Database


• Daily Database support, including the managing of tablespaces, backups, and performance


• Conducting upgrades to the database environment


• Project planning and execution


• Assisting with budgeting for the group  


• Being available for 24x7 on-call support


• Implementing disaster recovery solutions and procedures
