Build/Release Engineer with TFS (Team Foundation Server)


 


Position:


 


We are seeking a talented Release / Build Engineer with TFS (Team Foundation Server) experience. This is a full-time and requires a Visa status of either US Citizen or Green Card Holder. In addition to a competitive salary/rate and benefits,

Skills and Experience:


 


Must have strong Microsoft TFS (Team Foundation Server) or Visual Studio knowledge and skills.


 


3+ years experience in building and deploying .NET applications.


 


Strong knowledge of Windows environments.


 


Experience with standard source control tools and concepts


 


Experience with MSBuild and other Windows scripting tools to automate build and deployment processes.


 


Solid understanding of change and release management required in an Agile environment.


 


Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with Software Engineers, QA team, and functional


managers.


 


Detail-oriented, problem solving and organizational skills required.


 


Motivated, creative, hands-on and focused individual with ability to work independently and as part of a team.


 


Strongly Desired:


 


Bachelors Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Math or related field.


 


Experience working in a Scrum or other Agile development environment.


 


Responsibilities:


 


Create and deploy builds into multiple environments (development, QA, and production).


 


Support parallel development, integration and testing, requiring the individual to work closely with the Software


Engineering and QA teams.


 


Gatekeeper for software deployment process to maintain and enforce policies and procedures for release


management, guaranteeing repeatable processes.


 


Take full ownership of the build environment and configuration management as the individual who will drive the


processes of source code management, branching, and build automation.


 


Manage and perform all branching, versioning, merging, labeling, and other source control strategies.


 


Employ automated build tools to improve product quality, keep up with AGILE software development


environment, and streamline the build and release process.


 


Perform scheduled and on-demand software deployment during business hours and off-hours to multiple


environments.


 


Create and maintain documentation of build and release processes and application configuration to comply with


audit requirements and industry best practices.
