Organizational Development Specialist
Responsible for developing and implementing leadership development programs that align to the organization’s overall business & talent management strategy. This includes resource / competency planning, leadership and management development, talent review and succession management programs. Consult with management and partner with HR Generalists to identify learning and development needs based on business and organizational change. Provide analysis and metrics regarding the effectiveness of learning initiatives. Interacts with all levels of employees to build solid working relationships and assess training and development needs, and solicit program support.
Skills, Training, Experience Required:
- BA/BS degree required. Masters degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive OD / Training and Development experience with a strong emphasis on leadership development.
- Experience with design and implementation of workforce development initiatives / programs including competency assessments, learning needs analysis, talent reviews and succession planning.
- Experience consulting with leadership on key organizational issues including org design, change management / communication, team effectiveness, and competency / resource planning.
- Demonstrated strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to deliver impactful results in a fast paced, multi-faceted environment.
- Strong facilitation and public speaking ability, with experience developing and delivering leadership training programs.
· Can develop project direction / strategy, and effectively lead the tactical implementation of programs and initiatives.
- Training certifications including Myers-Briggs (MBTI), Crucial Conversations, Lominger Leadership Architect, and Franklin Covey a plus.
- 15% travel, most of which will be in the Chicagoland area.
