Organizational Transformation Lead – Chicago, IL

CARA’s customer is in need of a leader to drive the organization transformation team.  This includes strategic thinking, thought leadership, and tactical planning in the areas of change impact assessment, organization engagement, organization alignment, and human capability development.  The following is an overview of the primary elements of this role, key activities, and critical skills.  

Role Description

•    Lead a team through change impact analysis based upon Subject Matter Expert interviews.

•    Compile an executive summary of change impacts identified.

•    Define action plans to address significant people, process, and technology changes.

•    Define organization alignment and governance needs to implement the approach.

•    Assess the change readiness process, workshop structure, instruments, and culture to define an overall organizational readiness plan.

•    Lead the strategy definition and planning of how the OT team will work in conjunction with other consultants in other tracks to define the critical knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs) that will be tracked by role to identify primary knowledge recipients and consultant coaches.

•    Define the strategy / approach for organization design, stakeholder management, change impact analysis, change readiness assessments, training (strategy, plan, and content development) communication planning, and transition support and effectiveness.

•    Lead the creation of a Stakeholder Management Plan to identify: 1) key stakeholders, 2) key stakeholder needs and/or concerns, and 3) project needs from each stakeholder.

•    Lead the creation of a Training Strategy that is based upon sound methodology, extensive project experience and sound adult learning principles.

•    Oversee the creation of training materials and curriculum and provide feedback and guidance to meet stakeholder needs

•    Lead the creation of a Training Plan to deliver on the agreed upon strategy.

•    Help define a comprehensive approach to assist leaders, Associates, and partners in transitioning from the current state to the new system and processes.

•    Strong strategic perspective – Can lead identification of requirements, develop plans, and identify risks and issues. 

•    Strong project management skills – Can effectively organize activities, manage a workplan, work collaboratively with others, drive to deadlines and manage risks and issues.

•    Strong communication skills – Able to tell a story in concise and impactful ways, able to deliver effective oral and written communications (including presenting).

•    Strong PowerPoint skills – Able synthesize information into visually impactful and well organized documents.

•    Fast learner and developer – Able to come up to speed quickly on issues and to quickly turn around ideas and documents.

•    Effective Leader – Able to establish relationship with stakeholders.
