Job Purpose:

* Generate medical claims and posting payments for daily patient care. 

* Submits claims electronically as well as paper claims to secondary carriers.

* Familiar with workers'compensation and no-fault claims.

* Generates appeal letters to carriers that deny on claims.

* Tracking bills; monitoring collections for both insurance and patients.

* Communicate with insurance companies.  Manage delinquent accounts, making payment arrangements with patients.

Duties:

* Must have prior knowledge of medical billing practices and terminology.  We cannot teach a new hire these skills.  Knowledge of CPT/ICD-9 important, and improves chances of being hired / better wage.
